Her team was responsible for designing the World Bank's funding strategy and managing its multi-currency funding program in global money, capital and derivatives markets, including the design and launch of new products, such as the World Bank's Green Bonds.
From 2002 to 2007, Ms. Herrera-Pol headed the team responsible for the World Bank’s plain-vanilla debt products, including global bonds and emerging market bond issues. From 1997 to 2002, she headed the team responsible for designing and delivering financial products to World Bank clients. Previously, she worked with the World Bank's funding and investor relations programs. Before joining the World Bank, Ms. Herrera-Pol conducted sovereign debt negotiations for the Dominican Republic.
Ms. Herrera-Pol has been a keynote speaker, panelist and moderator at numerous conferences, on topics such as socially responsible/ethical investments, managing catastrophe risks, financial risk management, financial regulation, regional and emerging capital markets, infrastructure finance, the value of cultural diversity, and women in leadership.
