IFFIm's Board of Directors gathered in Washington, DC in October for their quarterly meeting as well as various meetings with stakeholders.

On 8 October at the World Bank, IFFIm’s Board and the Gavi IFFIm-focused Secretariat team met with Gavi’s Audit and Finance Committee (AFC) and CEO, Dr Sania Nishtar, to provide a technical briefing on IFFIm, its partnership with the World Bank and the evolving partnership between IFFIm and Gavi. The discussion not only emphasised IFFIm’s critical contributions and impact, especially in light of Gavi’s 6.0 replenishment strategy, but also reflected the significance of IFFIm to Gavi’s mission and upcoming strategic cycle.

On 10 October, IFFIm’s Board of Directors gathered at Gavi’s Washington, DC offices to strengthen their support for Gavi’s upcoming replenishment and strategic goals for 2025 and beyond.

The Board focused on an upcoming bond issuance, a comprehensive report on donor relations and communications in the context of positioning IFFIm as a crucial financial partner in Gavi’s replenishment efforts, aiming to maximise its impact for Gavi's 6.0 strategy. Working in close collaboration with the Gavi Secretariat and the World Bank, IFFIm is committed to maintaining its vital role in funding Gavi's life-saving vaccination programs.

In addition to welcoming Eila Kreivi and Rachel Turner to their first meeting, the IFFIm Board also appointed Jeff Diehl as the newest board member, with a term extending through 2027. Diehl’s expertise and leadership will be instrumental as IFFIm navigates the challenges and opportunities associated with supporting global immunisation efforts.

The next IFFIm Board meeting will be held virtually in December.
