8 May 2024

Her departure marks the conclusion of over four years of dedicated service to the organisation.

London, 8 May 2024 - Jessica Pulay has indicated she will step down from her position on the Board of Directors of the International Finance Facility for Immunisation (IFFIm) effective 4 June 2024, coinciding with IFFIm’s next Board meeting. Her departure marks the conclusion of over four years of dedicated service to the organisation.

Joining the IFFIm Board in March 2020, Ms. Pulay played a pivotal role during a critical period of global health crisis. Her tenure coincided with IFFIm's swift adaptation to the challenges posed by the pandemic, where IFFIm provided US$ 975 million in surge funding to Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, to combat Covid-19.

Ms. Pulay's departure from the IFFIm Board follows her recent appointment as the Chief Executive Officer of the UK Debt Management Office. Her transition underscores her commitment to public service and financial stewardship on a broader scale.

Ken Lay, IFFIm Board Chair, remarked, "Jessica has been an exemplary colleague during her time on the Board, and we'll miss her dearly. She has navigated the Board through a period of remarkable growth, demonstrating leadership, insight and unwavering dedication to our mission."

“The IFFIm Board extends its heartfelt appreciation to Jessica Pulay for her energy, commitment and contribution, and wishes her continued success in her future endeavors,” he added.
