Marcus Fedder has been involved with microfinance for the last 5 years after spending more than 20 years in banking. He held senior positions at several financial institutions, including Toronto Dominion Bank, where he was a Vice Chair of TD Securities and was responsible for all businesses in Europe and Asia-Pacific; CIBC, where he was responsible for derivatives in London; and Deutsche Bank, where he worked in the capital markets.
Mr. Fedder also has significant global development experience. He served as Treasurer of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), where he was responsible for investing the bank's liquid assets, funding of the bank, asset & liability management and client advisory. At the World Bank, he advised governments and central banks on debt management and asset and liability management.
Mr. Fedder holds a PhD in politics from the Freie Universitaet Berlin and post graduate degrees in international relations from Cambridge and the London School of Economics.
